Small cracks or isolated damage can often be fixed with a patch repair, but if your walls have widespread cracks, uneven surfaces, or crumbling plaster, a full replaster may be the better long-term solution. Our team can assess your space and recommend the most cost-effective approach.
Plastering typically refers to applying a base and finishing coat to bare walls or new surfaces, while skimming is a thin layer of plaster applied over existing walls to create a smooth finish. Skimming is ideal for refreshing tired or uneven walls without a full replaster.
Typically, plaster takes 3 to 5 days to dry, depending on the thickness, room temperature, and ventilation. We always recommend waiting until the plaster is fully dry (it turns from dark to pale pink) before applying any paint or wallpaper for best results.
